. . . and it, er, appears to be working just fine. Do these things have longevity issues related to the selenium cell or anything? It certainly makes using the M3 faster and more intuitive.
Yeah that's the thing I'm worried about it's just the cat's pajamas for shooting, but I have to admit I haven't tested it systematically over the entire range it's designed to cover (much less sourced one of the booster cells and tried that out too.) Working MRs seem to be rawther more expensive.
I have an MR which works great, but of course is not based on a CdS cell.
If you are unsure of it, you might send it to Quality Light Metrics (George Milton), who can tell you if it's working in spec, and if not, if it can be saved. He does initial evaluation for free.
