I just finished paying for the leica and now more?

So I just gave my boss my final payment for my Leica today! An hour later a guy walks in to the store and says he has an M3, M4, M5, and MP plus a bunch of lenses he wants to sell us.

I never say done, but I was kinda hoping for a few months of being out of debt anyways! I really can't afford it but ah well. We shall see if the guy comes back and if he takes our offers etc. He was in for a Hasselblad question but asked when to come in about the other so hopefully he will return.

I work at Fullerton Cameras. No cameras yet though. I'll post if we get them.

I dunno about the M5 Frank. I have nothing against one but my list of camera wishes goes M4, MP, M2, and M3. I am mostly interested in what ever lenses he may have at this point though. He didn't say what exactly he had. The M3 he had was a very nice condition DS with the tear drop lugs. It had a 2.8cm Summaron on it and he had a 50mm Summilux first version as well. Those also appeared to be in very nice condition.

I'm just thinking what if's at the moment. We shall see if he comes back next week or not! I wouldn't mind another body though either... I just have this lust for an M4 black paint version that I can turn all brassy! 😛😛

an old black paint M4 MOT just went on ebay for $3800, with crappy pictures and hardly any description. I was thinking I'd get in on it, maybe get it for $1600 or so. ha! sure would be nice, though.

Do your self a favor and don't get sucked into the gear addiction hype around here. Sure, it is fun, but there is a whole big world out there that you can explore with all the great gear you already posses.

While I do like this site, it is waaaaaaaaay to gear intensive and not as show stopping in terms of imagery.

The money you would otherwise spend on another M could easily pay for gas, film and other things to go exploring with.

I hear ya I hear ya! It's good advice I know, but I wouldn't mind a few more toys either! 😉 Realistically the M6 and 35 that I already own is my ideal set up and the camera that is always with me.
