I just finished paying for the leica and now more?

btw, you'd appreciate this, I bought a roll of Kodachrome 64 the other weekend! I've never shot the stuff before in my life! I didn't even anticipate every using a roll of color in the M6 but I figured what the hell, everyone should shoot a roll at some point in their life right?

So I just gave my boss my final payment for my Leica today! An hour later a guy walks in to the store and says he has an M3, M4, M5, and MP plus a bunch of lenses he wants to sell us.

DAMN IT!!!!!!

I see debt creeping up on me again!:bang:

So, lemme guess, you're going to go into debt buying this guy's Leica film gear so he can buy a M8.

And then, when he discovers its a disaster - you're gonna sell him back the film gear at a 50% markup, right?

Smart move.

Go for it! 😀

Chris..

Do your self a favor and don't get sucked into the gear addiction hype around here. Sure, it is fun, but there is a whole big world out there that you can explore with all the great gear you already posses.

Aaron Huey used one M6 and a 35mm lens for his entire "Walk Across America" piece:

While I do like this site, it is waaaaaaaaay to gear intensive and not as show stopping in terms of imagery.

The money you would otherwise spend on another M could easily pay for gas, film and other things to go exploring with.

Save your money and go shoot....

Thanks for the link - very nice photos there. I did look at the "Walk Across America" and it looks that some photos were taken with lenses wider than 35mm. Maybe its just me, but it looked that way. Does it say somewhere that he only used M6 and 35mm lens?
