I'm very excited because I just got my Voigtlander 15/4.5 in the mail today. This is a very nice lens with excellent build quality (like other CV lenses I've used). I'm really excited because I bought it off eBay and got the finder, CV lens pouch, and a genuine Leitz M adaptor with it... all for $225 shipped! The lens is in perfect condition! As far as I'm concerned, I stole this lens. Too bad its pretty much dark here, because I can't wait to start shooting with this lens. Just thought I'd share in my excitement.

man, you are on a roll!

The same could be said about you! 😀

I actually forgot I was going to get this lens. I've been too busy anticipating the P. It's been a good week for me as far as camera gear goes, but I know that some things are going to have to go in order for me to keep the good stuff.

Good luck with that 15!

Now I feel some GAS coming up again for this 15! And I can't spare the money right now. :bang:

Speaking of coincidences....I got my 15/4.5 yesterday as well... I'm going to use it this w/end, but I don't know what body/film I shall start using it: my L, T, R3A or the newly acquired M2 ?? Decisions, decisions... 😀
If I shoot a roll of b/w I won't have to wait for the lab, but on the other side I won't be able to evaluate color rendition...
guess I'll just burn a few rolls with different cameras for "testing purposes" 😉

Kyle, you're on a real wide-angle roll, man. Didn't you just buy a 25/4, too? Nice score on that 15/4.5, BTW. Please post some pics when you get a chance!

I got mine nearly a year ago and doubt very much if I'll sell it. I've not heard any negative comments on this lens at all.

Not my biggest user lens but definitely one that I get the most keepers from.

Good luck with the lens. The problem is that it is so wide that I have gotten my hand and foot in a couple pictures. :>)

It is a fun lens. You can even take a group portrait including yourself handheld.

Sounds like you got a good deal. I got a silver version of the same lens about 8 months ago for $260, including shipping. It was still in the box with the waranty cards and everything. There are good deals out there if you just look long enough. Eric's caution is well worth heeding. My problem is that I frequently seem to get my fingers in the picture.

Yes, I did and I'm loving that 25. To be honest, I didn't reall plan on winning. I was bored in class one day, so I decided to search through ebay on my laptop (cause camera gear is more important than International Politics 😀) and ran accross the add. I put in a max bid of $220 just for the hell of it. Well, to my surprise, I won! I'm putting it on the Bessa R today and I'm going to go shoot. This weekend I'll use it with the P.

This is a fun lens to shoot with! I've only gone through about half a roll of Tri-X so far, but I usually can't get through that much film in one morning on my school campus. I'll hopefully have some pictures posted sometime this weekend (if I ever get around to setting up my DS IV).

I'm the same way with getting my big fingers in the picture. I had that problem with the 21mm I recently sold. I got the square lens hood with my new 25/4 and I think that's going to help me keep my fingers out of the way. I wish I hadn't parted with the 21 now that I have the square hood.
