if the Cl is like the CLE then the problem may have been with the shutter curtain. I did the same thing you described (advanced the film when it was at the end of the roll). I didn't get a full advance and the shutter curtain was just a few millimeters out from a "set" position. I could actually see the edge of the curtain protruding slightly into the opening. I gently moved the curtain back into place and it worked. Glad to hear you fixed it! Whew!
