Glad that you have one. How is autofocus speed and accuracy of fast moving subjects, or is it just marginally better than the original A12?

I have picked it up monday (In a locale Photo shop in Denmark) if I had the time. But in Japan, can you get it from tomorrow.

One more picture

Thanks for the samples.

More specifically, would you feel comfortable using the autofocus to take pictures of people, or animals moving towards, or away from you while walking at a fast pace in poor light? I'm guessing that the firmware update and the fact that this is not a macro lens has indeed improved the autofocus, but that taking pictures of my kids running around just won't work with large apertures in low light.

i tested it at Photokina where the light was pretty bad if you shot off the stand... the AF seemed pretty speedy in low light (and i was shooting wide open). it did, occasionally mis-focus but that was because the object i was trying for was far away (read: user error).

as i was actually able to get night shots with the original A12, i think this should be no problem with the faster 28mm... then again, moving kids in almost all situations are difficult ;)

The pre-focus does that is fast, and it can take pitures of moving kids indoor at normale light situations. At low light I don't know, but I think that it will work.
