I just wanted to say 'thank you'.

I think a lot of us feel the same about the forum, regardless of the type of camera we prefer. The forum has changed a little, or at least it seems so to me. There seems to be more emphasis on Leica than FSU as it was before. There is even more room for TLRs and SLRs. Good greif! There is even some guy that touts old screw mount Fujica SLRs. What is the world coming to? :D :D

I personally regard you as a valuable asset to this forum Magus. Whether you are touting the qualities and superiority of Leica equipment ... or lambasting some poor soul for daring to suggest that Nikon make OK lenses ... you are always a gentleman.

Always entertaining ... and never, never dull! :D

Your participation - my pleasure.
Your frankness - your height.

Cheers,
Ruben

Magus' sentiments reveal a sensitive and intelligent individual. What I should like to know is whether his pen name - "Magus" = Wizard - reflects some inner capabilities not easily detectable in his RFF contributions.....

Hey - its a great forum and you're a great contributor. Even (perhaps especially) when I can't agree with you.

Agreed. I noticed that you were on holiday when someone claimed the CV lenses were as good as the ZM and Leicas... AND GOT AWAY WITH IT

Magus IS a wizard if he can get MF quality out of his Leica. ;)

The busts of Bach, Beethoven, & Bruckner? You mean the busts of Mozart, Beethoven, & Wagner, don't you?
Pshaw!
Surely you meant to type "The busts of Mozart, Mendelssohn, and Bruch!"

Now all you 50+ year old guys can sing "Kumbaya"

Now that makes me sick!

Otherwise, I like this forum - everyone accepts other peoples likes and dislikes (in general).

Magus, I find you thought-provoking, thoughtful and gentlemanly. I find it amazing how you will take the time to block quote detailed snippets of previous replies from various members, making each person feel well-attended. In addition I love your posts about the M system "nadir"; and even though you were roasted about it a while ago, being a former M6 owner, I can't say I disagree with much of what you have written on that topic. Furthermore, I enjoy your ideas regarding the minimal M kit. Lastly I like how when you write about lenses, you don't dismiss lenses just because they are not L lenses; you are keen on lens signatures. Evidence of this for me is how you have written very respectfully and almost poetically regarding the ZM 35 and 50/2 lenses.

I don't comment much but I do enjoy reading what you and many others write.
