I Love Zeiss Distagon ZM 35/1.4

Jan, I haven't seen any problem - but then I have not been looking for them either. Will try to make time for a couple of test shots today with the Sony 7 - once the battery on it is charged up.

This is my "test root" at Jericho Beach here in vancouver. I try every lens, every camera and just about every film/developer combination on it.
This is with the Zeiss ZM and the Distagon 35mm f1.4, either at f1/4 or maybe f1,8. Impressive performance to say the least.
Adox CHS II 100, Rodinal 1:100 for 40 min.
There are about 250 shots on our Flickr site of this toot. Tageed under "Test root" - about as boring a series of shots you ever find.

This is for jan Pedersen, he asked about corners with the Distagon 35f1.4. This is a minuscule area of the image - about 2x3 mm - extreme right hand corner. At infinity too. No manipulation except the crop. There is another shot of the left hand corner, but L/R has decided to ignore it for the moment. Will post it when I find it!!!

Actually Tom, I quite like those shots of the roots on Jericho Beach -- very interesting designs that Mother Nature can come up with!

Thanks for posting the sample pics of the distagon, I've ordered one and it's on its way to me from B&H. I love the look of Zeiss glass.

No weirdness on the venerable M8 😉
An amazingly good lens, bear in mind this on the M8 crop, film to follow now the rain has stopped, sun promised for tomorrow!!
No coding used, no UV/IR filter.
