I've had an RD1 for years, but I had to pick it up just now to confirm whether or not I could see the 28mm framelines. I can't. But I know where they are, roughly, so it's never really bothered me. In any case none of the framelines are very accurate anyway.... best to know your lenses and "get in the zone", as per 35mmdelux...
