I might be crazy, but I did it

You inspire me! A great idea!

.. I want to visit your place in Trondheim as well. Perhaps it will happen.

Haha, nice question! The name I chose for my website when I started it a few years ago, “Il cimento della fotografia”, was inspired by the name of Antonio Vivaldi’s most famous opus, the one containing the Four Seasons. The Italian word “cimento” means excercise, experiment, commitment. And Vivaldi is one of my greatest loves. The funny story that few people know is that his ultra famous work "The Four Seasons" was discovered over 200 years after the composer's death.. (what will happen to my photography too)?

;-)

Thank you for answering the question as for your photography I hope you washed and fixed your prints well otherwise the changes of becoming famous 200 years after your death are rather small :)

I agree Vivaldi is great I sometimes listen to him in my darkroom unfortunately the Music didn't rub off and make me a darkroom virtuoso maybe I should try Salieri or a bit of Giovanni Batista Lulli for the french twist. :)

Wonderful and inspirational. Serendipity often rewards creative leaps like this (versus investing in "more of the same"). Love Trondheim, btw.

*WILD APPLAUSE*

Well done! I admire your bravery in setting out on this and your philosophical approach that even if you sell nothing, you're "only" out less than the price of a Leica M. Well played and best of luck to you.

P.S. Tweeted out your link to my legions(1) of Twitter followers.

(1) not that many, really, but best I can do

I find it interesting that my daughter was in Trondheim less than one week ago!

it turns out that my mother-in-law was born and raised in Trondheim so I've heard lots of stories about the city.

Congrats on your achievement!

Good luck with it all, Andrea. I have bene twice to Trondheim some years ago. I wish I could visit this city again soon.

I think this is an absolutely wonderful thing to do! What if you always sat there and wondered "what if..."?

You deserve to do well - your photos have always struck me as being superb (and FILM!), and on top of that your courage in doing this is admirable. Best of luck!
