Anyone have a good suggestion for a lens hood to put on a canon f1.5, 50mm lens? I'm looking for something inexpensive.

Kodak Series VI hood from ebay. The trick then is to find a Series VI adaptor ring that will screw in to 40mm threads or with a 42mm push on ring. The push on rings are not hard to find, you just have to look for them.

The Walz vented hood, Black, made for the Canon. It's nice. Ebay.

The Canon rectangular hood for the 50/1.8 is probably the nicest one to use. Cheaper than the "correct" round Canon hood, and easier to find. (Also, the correct round one is quite large, blocks a lot of finder.) Very nicely vented for viewing.

I presume tha the 50/1.9 rectangular hood that rover pointed you at will work fine as well. I've never tried that combination. It's narrower and deeper.
