I have an old Summicron-R 50/2, from a Leicaflex I: the focusing ring is stiff, so i've tried to dismantle the lens and lubricate the helicoils.
There's not a guide on the web, unfortunately.
I've removed the two little screws in the pic, and... disaster!
Now the aperture ring is not working, the focus is locked or semi-locked (very stiff).

Ok, i'm a donkey: but this isn't my first time with a lens, and Audaces fortuna iuvat. "Fortune favors the brave"? Uhm...🙁

Can someone please explain to me how to deal with this mess?
Thanks a lot: i love my Summicron, and feel very guilty for this crime. Grazie!

I don't have this lens, but I am guessing that you need to disassemble it from the rear. are there screws in the bayonet mount? Take them off first.

Is there any way to re-install the two screws that you removed, and then begin again?

Leicaflex lenses also had an annoying tendency to hide screws under the front name-ring. You may need to carefully remove it (and they may be glued on - so, dissolve the glue first with a solvent).

It's been a while and I've only ever done the later ones. Tke the name plate from the front and there are 3 maybe 4 screws under there holding the focus barrel onto the focus mount. Take this off and hopefully you will be able to figure out the 2 screws you removed. My guess is that they are to do with infinity focus and need to be aligned with the barrels before replacing the screws.

Thanks, Vickko and nobbylon.
There are 6 screws on the bayonet mount. The two little screws i've removed from the barrel are reluctant to re-enter their site: I will try this again tomorrow.
My Summicron belongs to the first series, with the "inclined" nameplate (at the left in the photo).

(to be continued 😉)

Not very easy...
I'missing somewhat about the separation of the external barrel from the inner element (with the helicoils).
Some pics, waiting for the right intuition.

Yeah, this isn't going to help much but all those rings have got to unscrew.
It wasn't grown from a seed.
If it makes you feel like you're not alone, I just made a manual focus lens from an autofocus lens
