Last month, I went to Las Vegas with 2 Leica's and a Yashicamat. I quickly noticed that people are quick to notice you bringing a camera up to your eye, but if you're looking down they don't seem to notice you as much. I wonder if this is why Vivian Maier got such good street photographs and why our NY Dan seems to have such good pictures.

I noticed something else...guys would comment on my M3 all the time, but young women were fascinated by my TLR. Anybody have a clue why ?

Have you seen the movie? I think, it was easier for woman with kids.
My M4-2 gets mostly noticed by males, TLR is hard not to notice for everyone. 🙂
My noticeable peak was with Yashicaflex A in it original case. Very positive reaction.

It is certainly true that TLR cameras draw the attention of the ladies. Somehow, they feel compelled to pay a compliment about the camera, and their eyes light up.

I have no clue what causes that, but it happens so frequently that I came up with a plan. My son is 28 years old and doesn't have a steady girlfriend. I offered to set him up with a TLR, a puppy, and a baby, and have him go out to a crowded area. He would find a girlfriend for sure. 🙂
