I think I want a Y Strap...

Let me know if you figure out how to hook the thing on your camera in a way that will prevent the ring from scratching the camera body. I've not had the guts to use mine since receiving it.

I do have little leather patches from other straps which I do not use which I can put on the Y if I find it necessary.

I don't use them now, but we shall see.

I have two and never use them. They're not too bad when used with a light camera, either a compact or my Oly E-420 + 25mm pancake but dangling my RD1 by one strap lug doesn't feel safe.

One thing I have noticed about the Y-Strap is when shooting portrait format I'm generally a shutter at the bottom person ... nearly impossible to do this with the Y-Strap!

I am a left eyed shutter top guy.

I carry my camera over my shoulder normally and have to grab it and adjust the strap if I am going to shoot, so I think this will work out for me, at least I think it will feel pretty normal and be more secure than carrying the camera with the strap over my shoulder.

This guy's straps are pretty good and it's where I got mine from ... link

I think his video demonstrates quite well how effective they are ... I'll be using mine with my M8 tomorrow night in fact.

I've heard they even work on the new M9! 😛

Hey, I wear my domke grippers like that! I just flip the strap so that the rubberized side is facing up and away from my shirt into the air. That way the cloth side is the only bit in contact with my shirt. Wearing it diagonal, it slides around easily and doesnt cling at my clothing at all.
