I..think I've struck gold...

"They are in the Netherlands though." Ouch - me too!
I have to run before RML will notice this thread :D he will buy all the best stuff they have!

EDIT: wait - this isn't the klinkhamer business is it? They are a couple too, they have some rollei stuff that they repair and sell, and actually they made a great job CLA'ing my rolleicord... But they do have a website.

Would be nice to see some addresses, of both the Gronefelds en Klinkhamers.

I'm wondering if either ofthem would do a good Leica CLA....

Pherdinand, don't worry. You can walk slowly. I'm broke at the moment. I reckon I'll have some spare money by the time my 13th month is paid, in January. :)

RML, hans klinkhamer has a website http://www.dekamera.com (no, not dekameron!) where he lists some stuff for sale and e-mail address for contact. He lives in s'Heerenberg and works mainly in Rollei stuff, but not exclusively. I had my 'cord repaired by him - shutter CLA'd (needed a new main spring too) + focus adjusted for about 80 euro. Nice guy, as far as I can conclude from his e-mails.
It took three weeks, though.

There's another business in the netherlands, called roskam optics, http://www.roskamoptics.nl/ busy mainly with former USSR - selling, repair, upgrading etc.

Dunno who could work on your leica...maybe one of the above two can be persuaded to do it :)

From the camera store I found across the street from my hotel in San Francisco earlier this week. Sorry about the glare - one thing rangefinders are not good at dealing with!

Best Regards,

Bill Mattocks

You should have heard some of the prices I was quoted for used equipment from my calls to NY stores last week.

Or was that $295 for the CLE body and matching strobe? I'd jump at that deal...
