I'll be getting my Fuji X-E1, 35mm and 18mm on Thursday. If I end up enjoying it, I'll be selling all of my Canon gear.

Excited and nervous!

Excited, good. And appropriate. It's very very good.

No reason to be nervous unless you tear open the package over a kitchen sink full of dirty sudsy water.

I received the X-E1 today and my first impressions are quite mixed.

I love the form factor, feeling and handling of the camera. The size is perfect. A tad smaller than the Leica M3, but a lot lighter.

The EVF is going to take some getting used to, though after a few hours I've already adjusted quite a bit. It's not nearly as big as the Canon 5D Mark II VF that I'm so used to.

AF is not the greatest, but I'm doing alright with it.

I love the files! I'm shooting in RAW and editing with LR 4.4 and things are looking beautiful. I miss the extra 6 megapixels of the canon, but I don't print that big anyway.

I'll definitely be keeping the X-E1, and I look forward to the X-Pro2, whenever it domes out. I think I'm going to go for that as my second body and sell the Canon eventually.

congrats...it's a great kit.
i was just pixel peeping at a few shots i took today and the detail just continues to amaze me!

Hang in there. The contrast AF requires some adaptation for those of us with a lots of experience with phase-detection AF.

Just ask if you have questions or issues.

i borrowed one from a friend for a month or so but decided not to buy it was the autofocus is too hit and miss for me. i'm going to sit digital out (stick with my D700) for a year or so. by then i figure we'll have some incredible smaller cameras. in many ways i do love the XP1 though. as everyone says, great files.
