stopped by the camera store today and played with the new nikkor 85/1.8 g lens...and the tiny 24/2.8 as well...the 85 was sweet, very light...mostly plastic...quick af...

so many toys...

Better stop by the drug store and get some GASEX for relief of that build-up your experiencing🙂
 
The manual focus 24mm is one of my most-used and favorite lenses. It's wide enough to read as wide, not too wide, and as you note, is nice and small (in the AF version, too). That and a 50, and I'm pretty much set for most things. One on the camera, one in my jacket pocket, and an extra roll of film, holds me for a day, easily.

I carry an FG, which is a reliable, adequate, and very small camera; a good pairing with the lenses. Also, FGs are dirt cheap now.
