Best is subjective, but this is the first to come to mind.

Always the last image I worked on. Lately I have been using a rigid 50 Summicron on an M8 and playing with Photoshop's auto-stitch function to make panoramas.
Oddly, RFF's restrictions on size/dimensions make it very impractical to post here.
But here goes:

Well, that didn't work so well. Original is about 8 x 27 inches. Looks like I have to work on my re-sizing.

I once thought it was this one...
till I took this one...
which was followed by this one...
then this one...
uh, it's useless...

Nice, I went there. This is one from one of my trips there.

I agree with Roger, I haven't taken my best photograph yet. Everyday I seem to take a photo that I like more than the days work before. So its never ending.
But for the thread this is probably my best photograph so far. A nice combination of timing and subject matter.

I don't normally do wedding photography, but I did this hour-long exposure and all those spots are the photographer's flashes.

While there is always the drive to keep making a new "best" image, I do think it important to have a few shots around we genuinely like to help us feel like we're not totally off-track in involving ourselves in something as crazy as photography.
Here's one that holds a special place for me. I also rather like it as a Palladium print.

For me, and probably for many of us, this raises the question of what is the best according to the "reception" a picture gets vs. the best according to me. This is my current favorite.

This seems to be the most viewed photo of mine on Flickr - I believe this is the case, because so many people are agonizing over the choice of a 21mm lens...
