I want to see your best photo ever!

I think this is still my favorite shot to date...

Jesus, Vince, those are tremendous, every last one of 'em. How many were on assignment, how many were serendipitous?

Thanks! Well, as far as the where/when/why etc of the shots, they are as follows:

i) Taken in Arles, France on my own (no assignment).

ii) Part of a story for the Toronto Star newspaper on the characters who reside in Lafayette Park (across from the White House).

iii) Taken at a place not too far from Baltimore that puts on boxing matches from time to time (no assignment).

iv) The Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC (no assignment).

v) The Whammo Frisbee Festival in Washington, DC (just happened upon it while wandering around with a rented Widelux camera). I think I actually took this the same day as the Vietnam Wall shot.

vi) Part of an assignment on Tangier Island, Virginia for a magazine.

vii) Part of an assignment on Smith Island, Maryland for a magazine.

viii) The Medici Fountain in Luxembourg Gardens, Paris (no assignment, and not staged!).

ix) Found in the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris (no assignment).

x) A football match between the Savannah, GA Police Dept and the Savannah, GA Fire Dept. (no assignment).

xi) Colin Powell, a shot that I did of him for myself after the 'assigned' shots for AP/Worldwide were done.

xii) Part of a self-directed project about a bar/fish camp near Jacksonville, Florida.

xiii) Found while backroading in rural Georgia.

xiv) Found at the Mauritzhaus in Den Haag, Netherlands (while on vacation!).

Interestingly - all of these were shot with film, and only using three different cameras: Leica M2, Leica III (screw mount), Widelux.

Hmm...don't know that I could pick one, but here are a few that have stuck with me over the years:

... (shortened quote for brevity, the other images are no less stunning)

Wow! if you're not making a living taking pictures, it must be by choice.

Not sure if it's my best but I always liked these:

Nikon D200 + 105 F/2 DC @ F/2 - 1/1250s - 200 iso

And this is the other:

D200 + Tamron 28-75 @ 75 mm F/4 - 1/60s - 100 iso bounce flash

I have also pictures about the fashion/reportage course but they wouldn't display as well as these.

Some of my favorites for this year......

Leica M6 in Manhattan.

Posted it here before a few times now but this I would class as my first very good photo:

Taken in April 2009, Leica M2, Voigtlander Ultron 35mm, Kodachrome 64

Not wishing to steal fallisphoto's thunder, but it's a double exposure: 2 different negatives onto the same sheet of photo paper. (traditional enlarger style printing)

Or it can probably be done in Photoshop.

Is there the tiniest hint of colour in this ^^ picture Jeff? I'm not sure if I can detect the subtlest hint in the water and sky or if my eyes are playing tricks on me....'tis early here mind:)
