Hey Everyone
I've been toying with the idea of building a panoramic 35mm camera in order to learn 3d printing, and also because who doesn't want a 35mm panoramic camera?
1. What I would be building is a panoramic box with a lens mount, film advance, and a basic frame viewfinder so i know i'm pointing it in the right direction
2. Add some lens with an image circle that covers 24mmx65mm
3. Focusing would be by external means (use an external rangefinder and transfer to lens).
My current plan is to combine these two thingiverse.com models:
I would take the Panoramic shell and winding mechanisms from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1388765
And graft on the medium format lens mount from this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:705782/
Both of these are modifications of Cirion's 35mm pinhole camera here so it should be fairly easy to combine them:

After combining would have to adjust lens to film plane registration etc. of course.
Lens would need to have focus, aperture, and a leaf shutter.
What would be an ideal lens for this kind of project? Would a 6x4.5 folder lens work well? What's the widest angle lens from a folder?
