Indeed, in some cases a Jupiter 3 is a better lens than a Leica Summilux, and I don't want to discuss it again... Especially, in cases like mine: I don't own any 'lux, but I own a J3 😀
In the same kind of cases, on ASA400 film, in fact considering f8 street & the rocky Tri-X and Rodinal world, differences between both lenses are rather small... Thank God I own no M9's either... 😀

It would never work sadly ... while everyone could have an M9, some wag would decide that the V4 summthingorother (queen of bonking) was the best lens to plug the hole in the front of the camera, prices would rocket it would become impossible to find and owners would claim it had miraculous powers ... a recipe for discontent imo

If I owned an M9 it would be sold quicker than you can say "it's Obama's fault", I'd buy a good $100 film camera and some Tri-X film, and the cat would be sleeping on a couch in Hawaii instead of here in Florida. That cat sleeps more than a union boss.

Though the M9 does have a sepia jpg option, so we'd all have to turn that on to have half a chance at competing.
