It would never work sadly ... while everyone could have an M9, some wag would decide that the V4 summthingorother (queen of bonking) was the best lens to plug the hole in the front of the camera, prices would rocket it would become impossible to find and owners would claim it had miraculous powers ... a recipe for discontent imo

I'm pretty sure it can cure cancer and heal the lame and blind now.

Well, I've just come back to the M9 circle after seeing Leica Store Miami had one with Leica CLA and warranty for a good price. I paid nearly $2k more a couple years back for my first one.

Guess I can kiss camera body GAS good bye for a while (like 6 months) and focus on shooting with my existing glasses over the summer.

X-E1 can take the same lenses and manage dark scenes, videos etc.

Funnily enough, I dreamed the other night that someone gave me an M9. It was smaller than normal, and that puzzled me for a while, but that's the way dreams go, isn't it? I went off and started shooting, but it became a film camera as I shot.

Mind you, if you think that's odd, the night before i dreamed that an entire crowd at a cycle race had Pentax 67s to shoot it with.
