Hey, Jim, some of this looks like the stuff the UK B&W Photography magazine publishes every month
. I can't wait for the Holga and/or pinhole craze to end.

Don't quite get the point of this thread. If it's irony, IHMO it is misplaced. Many of the photos in that gallery are quite good.

the snow must go on
it's a misunderstanding / mixup of koncepts.
A krappy kamera is not identikal to krappy photos.
First of all, a krappy photo has to be defined: teknikally krappy or artistikally krappy?
Then, a krappy kamera, as long as it kan produce a photo, kan produce teknikally krappy photos that are interesting, storytelling or simply dekorative in the meantime. This is what happens in the kase of many of those uploaded shots.
On the other hand, a non-krappy kamera kan also produce teknikally good or krappy photos, kombined with artistikal value or lack of it.
Finally, about the pinhole and holga and lomo and ... hype: a krappy kamera does NOT guarantee any artistikal value for the photos it produces. The only added value of a good photo made with a krappy kamera is that making it was probably more challenging (except when the interesting shot resulted from random klicking).

I like these photos and I was trying to share them. The title to the thread was a bad pun that failed.

I admit I didn't get your irony or take from the initial post, but some of those pictures are quite nice and/or interesting, so thanks for sharing. Certainly proves you can get interesting effects without spending a lot of money, though as was pointed out a cheap camera doesn't guarantee some artsy result. --sooner

The LOMO Society must be thinking of the same thing. They made cheap crappies expensive crappies. And at the prices these are sold, some form of artistic endowment must be bundled in the packages!
