if you want to talk about photography - then do so!

I'm with Frank and ddutchison. If you like a thread, read it. If you don't, ignore it.

The way to change the site, like the world, is through positive action. Post your own threads. If others ignore them, hey, you're ahead of your time. Or behind it. Revel in your individuality -- silently.

What I like is portrait and fashion shots from the 50s and 60s, especialy the B&W ones.
I've seen some really nice shots from the early 50s in B&W; very "Plus-X"-like. Great biting detail, and yet with a beautiful softness, and the lighting was simple yet effective. Do you know of any names and/or links, Herr Volker?

It's been said before, and I'll say it again: if you are not interested in a thread then ignore it. Don't add negativity to this site by posting criticisms of threads you personally do not find interesting. An internet forum is defined by the posts of its members. If RFF does not suit your tastes, look for a site that does or simply interact with the topics you do find of interest here.

Good idea, but not conducive to building a high post count or being "king-of-the-hill"... which seems to be the goal sometimes.

You'll never hear me complaining of the Capa threads... I haven't even read them. See how good this theory works!
