I'd buy happiness.

Oh... wait... can't do that.

Well then I'd pick my misery.

And send my recently dropped and broken M2 in for repair and suffer the misery of waiting for it to come back.

Uhmmm, I think you may have read the amount wrong...

I'd start by buying all the stuff folks on RFF have been trying to sell and hasn't and give it a way to younger folks on RFF.

Pay off student loans from Graduate School.

Spend a lot on getting my wife healthy.

Hire some folks to finish all the building projects I am working on around the house and haven't finished.

Sell all the old computers around the house for $10 each and buy a new Mac and new iPad Pro.

Buy a XE-3, 18/2, and 56mm F1.2 R APD.

Pay for a long term care insurance policy for me and my wife in full.

Get a job in a local non-profit and donate the salary to the Rabbi, local non-profits, and fund a local wet dark room open to the public.

With great wealth comes a certain responsibility to set a good example for others to follow.


So in the interest of promoting environmental awareness, I'd want a hybrid vehicle such as a Porsche 918 Spyder, and my 20,000 square foot summer cabin would be entirely powered by renewable energy including wood, which literally grows on trees.
 
I also like to think of myself as a possibilities-thinker, and where others see the Yellowstone super-volcano as possibly bringing about the end of life as we know it, I think this completely overlooks the potential for some world-class spa resorts.
 
As a stage 4 cancer survivor. Quit work, setup a non profit to help bring awareness & promote holistic methods to fight cancer. Hopefully save some life’s. Oh I also would like to save the environment and drive a 918 hybrid.
 
I'll be splitting it with 30 coworkers, but $40-ish million will do (cash payout is "only" $900mil-ish)

I'd buy loads of film, maybe a new Summicron or 'lux 35 and travel the world.
 
Buy myself a right proper laptop, and get rid of this crappy Dell.


Split the rest of it with my family.


Start a charitable foundation with most of my portion.

The winning numbers were drawn about 50 minutes ago... well, I guess I"m going to work tomorrow morning.
 
I'd back track through my life and find all the people who have helped me along the way when I was struggling and give them each five million dollars.
