IIF to IIIF

I have nice IIf which I'd like to upgrade to IIIf
just got a old IIIc which I think I can junk the slowspeed mechanism for my IIF.
is the slowspeed mechanism the same in both IIIc and IIIf ?
have anyone ever done it and can share opinion?

My uneducated guess: forget it.

sell the IIf, buy a IIIf, it will cost you much less than your camera rebuild project if its possible (and I doubt it is)
