I got this in Saturday's mail & spent a little quality time yesterday & today getting to know it. I am reminded that I do prefer using a 50 to a 35, but for when I want that focal length, this really is a nice one.

As usual, if you are so inclined, I've got more from the set at my Picasaweb page: http://picasaweb.google.com/wlewisiii/35Skopar?feat=directlink

Thanks!

Oh yeah, love that 35 skopar! Nice shots, William. I had the LTM classic version, and sold it. Had sellers remorse, and recently bought the PII version from another member here. I'm keeping this one.

I hear you. Back way long ago 🙂 I had a Kiev 5 & bought a SC 35/2.5 for it. Same optics as this classic. Loved it but foolishly sold it. Now I've got it again and will enjoy shooting it.

I love the content of the pictures. The clarity and contrast are outstanding. I have a CV 352.5 and really don't use it enough. Right now I have it on my M3 with adapter and I will test it vs. a Canon 35f1.8 and post them on my Flickr page. Really like the little lever you can use to adjust the distance.

Where were these pictures taken?
Joe

Hi Joe,

The Canon 35/1.8 is a very good lens as well; much better in my opinion than its reputation would indicate. It's very good when you want a slightly vintage character to your images. The 35/2.5 is a very very modern lens with higher contrast and good color rendering. If I'd had the budget I might well have gotten the Canon again but I found the CV lens for only $150 and that's a great bargin.

The pictures were all taken at a couple of parks here in Madison, WI. We have lots of small green spaces that really makes the city nicer.
