I have a Leica 50 f 2.5. Note the fastest kid on the block but produces some awesome images. My VC 40 f 1.4 MC while not a 50 still performs well hovering between a 35 and a 50.

I completely agree. Can’t go wrong with either one.

I happen to like smaller lenses, so my picks for a 50 would include:

Canon 50/1.8
Voigtlander Skopar 50/2.5
Leitz Summitar 50/2.0
Nikon-HC 50/2.0 LTM

Any of those lenses would be a great all rounder...
