Cameraquest has been very very good to me on recent purchases. I'm going to get a ZI body soon from them. I need your thoughts on the lack of the 75 frameline, and any other rambling thoughts one might have tonight.

i liked the cv 75 lens that i once had and it would be nice to have another for the zi...or so i thought, until the other day when the hex 90/2.8 came into my kit.
the 90 is a good fl for many things and if you get one that feels right in your hand and on the camera body then i think you're ok.
the 90 fits nicely on the zi. we had a company function yesterday and i took my zi and a few lenses along. the 90 felt great on the camera and the 85 framelines worked well.
the zi body is very nice too. solid and kinda angular, squared off. i like the look.
the meter works fine with b&w film which is all i shoot.
and the zm lenses are great.

Thanks, I am kind of new and saw you were a moderator. Could you help me get my Avatar uploaded. I keep getting messages that the file is not valid, too big, etc, but it really is ok.
Thanks

size in bytes AND pixels has to be considered. And format, probably.
I tried to upload a properly sized image for a bit until I saw that it was 3 kb too large.

If you're a die-hard 75 user, the Ikon may not be for you. However, 90's work great on it and you also have the ltm mount 85 Canon at your disposal. I'm using a 90/4 Minolta Rokkor at the moment, which is very nice, but am awaiting the new 85/2 zm. (I love Zeiss glass.)
The body remains perfectly functional and stable after 3 months of daily use. Nothing feels flimsy.

The site owner, Jorge Torralba handles the technical issues. If you image is sized right and the software just doesn't load it you should send him a PM (that is his member name) and he can help you.

The original Leica finder setup combines the 50 and 75mm frames which is from my point of view somehow disturbing. I like the uncluttered 50mm frame layout of the Zeiss Ikon. But if 75mm (e.g. in a 35/75 combo) is your favorite choice, the ZI might be nothing for you.
In my own opinion, 75mm is too short for a portrait lens and too long for a 50mm replacement. I never got used to the 35-70mm zooms of the 80's or the later 28-70mm zooms, so my decision was simple: 35 - 50 - 90mm - that's my ZI combo.

Lack of 75mm framelines doesn't matter to me. I like having the 50mm lines uncluttered. Also, the Leica 90/2.8 is great for the 85mm framelines. Its a great camera, and if you can get beyond the lack of 75mm lines, you won't regret your purchase.
