Need some advice with disassembling a Tessar 75mm lens on my Ikonta 521/16. I found the rear lens module a bit hazy and needing cleaning so I unscrew it from the body to take a better look.

It seems to me that the haze is inside the lens module. Is there a way to disassemble the rear lens module? It looks like it's been made of two parts but I don't find a way to split it in two halves. I tried to unscrew it using rubber gloves but didn't get anywhere.

Any advice?

The rear cell in a Tessar is normally a cemented pair. It certainly is in 50mm SLR Tessars, and if the same doesn't apply to MF lenses, no doubt someone will correct me!

The rear group of a Tessar is a cemented doublet. Zeiss went over to an epoxy cement pretty early on, which makes it rather hard to separate and clean any of their cemented groups from after the war. A few days in DMF will dissolve cured epoxy - but don't try that at home unless you have a lab grade fume hood, as the stuff might eat away your liver faster than epoxy. NMP also is supposed to work and would be more harmless, but I haven't tried that...

In any case, re-cementing to a better result than before is no mean task - it is rather unlikely that you'll be successful in your first attempt.
