Ilford 127 Film - bulk rolls

I'm not sure what the bayonet size is of the baby rollei. I've seen Bay 1 adapters to accept standard threaded filters.

The Rolleiflex 4x4 takes Bay-1 filters, right?

I have Rollei Bay-1 filters in ND2 and ND4. I don't know if they made an ND8.

PS. B&W Super Slides are an intriguing possibility here, and I imagine they would be as well suited to scanning as they are to projection.

Yes, standard Bay 1 AKA Bay 30 (in Yashica/Minolta speak) fit the gray Baby.

The standard hood is orientated in a different way, though.

Thanks!!! 🙂 That will be a great thing if I can find one! I do not really quite understand the terms Bay 1/2/3, etc. but B&H lists a Heliopan 2 stop ND filter for special order.

Is there more than one Bay 1? Does Bay 1 mean it is the correct size filter to fit the Baby Rolleiflex?

This past week I was enlightened that Ilford 127 film in 50' rolls can be ordered!!!

Yes! For the last few years, Ilford 127 film (Delta 100, FP4 and HP5+) has been made available by special order each Spring. It is based on worldwide demand and a minimum order. Details here from last year:

It gives me enough time to start a "slush fund"/piggy bank just for ordering several rolls. If I can do it, anyone can!🙂

I'm in. Last year I placed an order for 2 rolls of HP5 in 46mm (the only 'flavor" offered in this format) with freestyle photo but the money was refunded and no rolls were sold due to lack of sufficient orders. 2 years ago I did manage to snatch one. It really isn't difficult to "roll your own" using old rolls and backing paper, but I strongly recommend the old time all-metal rolls, since some of the plastic edged ones that the ReraPan folks use (from Efke rolls I believe) have broken on me in the process.

Bay 1 = all Japanese TLRs that take Bayonet style filters, at least every one I have come across and all Rolleiflex 75mm f/3.5 Xenar/Tessar models

Bay 2 = Planar/Xenotar 75mm 3.5 Rolleiflex models, and the uncommon "2.8A" 80mm Tessar model which has a unique Bay 2 arrangement.

Bay 3 = Planar/Xenotar 80mm f/2.8 Rolleiflex models

Bay 4 = Rolleiwide / Tele Rollei

Anything bigger/higher is for the SL66 type SLR lenses.

You can also look for filters on Filterfind.net. Haven't used them but they seem to have a good selection most of the time. Also could look at a Series 5/V adapter, I have used those in the past before I happened upon some cheap Rollei filters that do what I need now.
