Ilford FP4+ in Rodinal 1+50

While these shots are not as nice as the ones in Chris' thread, I am happy with the way they turned out. I'm starting to like FP4+ for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is the way it dries nice and flat. 🙂 Compared to, say, Neopan 400. Still love Neopan, though.

Captive Sumatran tigers at the Waco Zoo, shot at 100, developed for 12:00 @ 68C. My agitation is a little different: 30 sec initial and then 5 sec every 2 minutes.

Looks great! Rodinal is a nice developer for FP4. Nicer tonality, in my opinion, than D-76, and the grain is still pretty fine.

Here's one of mine. I haven't developed FP4 in Rodinal in a few years. I like PMK better, but Pyro developers are a pain to work with, so for most people I recommend Rodinal 1+50 for FP4.

I don't shoot much FP4, here is a shot or two from a few years ago.

Oh yeah, FP4+ and Rodinal 1+50 is truly great. For a number of different reasons I now tend to use 400 speed film all year long, but I do have some pictures that mean a lot to me taken with the above combination and really like the look.
