Uncle Bill
Well-known
I switched back to HP5 for two reasons, first off Tri-X always curled like crazy for me and had to spend at least two days sandwiched between coffee table books to be usable for scanning or darkroom printing and two the sudden price increase for 35mm bulk film. Couple that with Ilford's continuing commitment to the medium had me switch over for black and white.

Melancholy
To grain, or not to grain
I love HP5 (and other Ilford films) of the same reasons as others mention before. Used Aculux3 before, now I stick with Xtol.
This is shot at 400, M4, 35mm summicron, developed in Aculux3, 12 min at 20*C
Aculux3 at 11 min, 20*C
I love it in medium format, here with Xtol 1:1, 20*C
