Hello all

I usually use 1:4 dilution (for 400 ml 80/320) for film as recommended but have not enough left in the bottle, do you have any experience in using different dilutions (I have something like 40 ml left) ? Should I wait till my order get shipped or give it a try (maybe with longer fixing times) ?

thanks and best regards
Michele

You could pour the 40 ml into graduate then fill to 200 with water (160 ml of water).

Or mix it all up at once for your working solution.

Or dilute more to have enough to cover your film with longer fixing times although for film Ilford recommends 1+4 only.

Ilford has a pdf on this product.

thanks for the link.

As for film it was stating only 1:4 I was worried, the rolls contain my Disneyland holidays 🙂

I will do a custom dilution with longer times

I never used 1:4, I have no rush. Only 1:9, film and paper. With film you could check how long it takes to clean emulsion and make it 2.5-3 times longer for actual fixing of film.
