You can find the gist of the big picture HERE, without the details of the history of the purchase and the inspiring language, but the general idea is Ilford is committed to continuing on producing their current line of products (glass plates even!), and reintroducing others.

Makes me want to switch over to Ilford products completely!

Kind of goes against the grain of "groupie" adoration tonight though?

Less than $2.75/per.....

I`m all for keeping these guys in business. Kodak will bail out one day when you least expect it and a HEALTHY replacement needs to be in place.

If you look at K`s past practice, it just gets announced and that is the end. To bad.

I always like Ilford films. Have to start using their developers.
is there any Ilford equivalent of HC 110?

Hmm. Last time I checked, $200 divided by 50 rolls was rather in excess of $2.75. But even if it wasn't, I can't quite see the relevance of the fact that one member happens to be selling one type of film to another member's useful message pointing out an article detailing how Ilford want to continue to market another.

Or, in other words: chill out, George! You're not being forced to buy Bill's film, are you?

Cheers
Jamie

Thanks for the new link - good news!

Wow, Ilford all the way. Which for me isn't a big change, since I only use Ilford stuff anyway. Can't imagine a world without HP5 or Ilford Paper. It was really inspiring to see this interview, thank you so much RayPa for posting this! It's a cause for celebration. I can't wait to post this link in other forums where there are posts on people terrified (rightly so) at the idea of a world taken over by the digi geeks ;-)

I'm a fan of ilford and of course I prefer to support them then the others leaving the boat.
I went to the photo store I use to get ilford and the owner told me that after hollyweek he will be reciving a new batch of ilford material everything film, paper and chemicals and even more he said prices will be reduced!!! 😀
