I'm being corrupted by color, help!

World is not a colorful and beautiful place. the light is not always defused and beautiful or bright and vibrant, the sky is not always blue and so on...
But there is some color to be seen and photographed, sometimes color is somber and muted. Sometimes the color is not, as you say, beautiful. And yet there still is light worth a photograph.
Color requires a different discipline, I think, but can certainly can be as rewarding as BW.
The simple answer here: if shooting color really is bothering you, don't.
But, if you are starting to see color the way you've mentioned, then perhaps that means it is time to explore that for a while.

Say three Hail Ansels before you take each shot. Hail Ansel, full of grace...

Roger is that "grace" or should it be "...full of greys" :bang:

Ive been having a similar dilemma as of late. At times previously I have shot colour but almost always end up converting to B&W only - I just love B&W images. However, currently Im dealing with 4mth old twins and although shooting still happens Im beginning to use colour films to avoid the development aspects (no time).

As part of this approach I have gone back and rescanned some of my, what were originally, colour shots and processed them as colour. Some have been very difficult to get colours correct but the end result is that I really like them...

But I still think at the end of the day my heart still lies, and always will, with B&W film..

Here's a few of those recently reworked colour shots...
