Congrats on the 90/2, great lens, great BIG lens! Cancun was a giveaway trip one of my vendors gaves us, it's to an all inclusive spa resort, massages, manicures seaweed wraps, bleh, bleh blaahhhhhh. I'll be in downtown Cancun trying to find the out of the way places the tourists don't ever see.

Todd - be sure to check out Chichen Itza while you're there. That was the only interesting thing when we visited Canun. Otherwise it's just hotel central. There really isn't much that isn't a tourist trap. Bleh.

Now Mazatlan, over on the Pacific coast, is a glorious place for a vacation. Much prettier and far less touristy. Plus a brewery of a great local beer - Pacifico... a most excellent pilsen focusing fluid :D

I voted for a trip - there's just so many places in the world I'd like to see - the salt flats of the Atacama desert in Chile, Patagonia in Argentina, New Zealand, the US South-West, Mount Kailash in Tibet, the Gobi and Taklamakan deserts in Mogolia, the Kamtchatka Peninsula in Siberia, the Niger river in Africa, Northern Portugal, Scotland & the Hebrides, the Lofoten Islands in Norway, Karelia in Finland, Iceland, (I do have a thing for bleak & barren landscapes, in case you haven't noticed); a couple of cities for street shooting, too: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles (again), London (again), Paris (again), Rome (again), Lisbon, Timbuktu, Tokio, Helsinki, Berlin (again), etc.

Of couse, I'd also need a couple of additional cameras for taking pictures there - a Rollei SL66 (or maybe even a Linhof Master Technika) and an XPAN for scenics, a Mamiya 7 for those long hikes, a Pentax LX for versatility, and a CLE and an MP for street-shooting...

Hmmm, should play the lottery more often...

If money were no object, what would be your next purchase?

A vintage automobile, mint condition, that has suicide doors.

Something that rhymes with gear. What is it again? Oh yeah, its beer. And lots of it. Molsen, St. Pauli Girl Dark, and some of that belgian stuff. Those guys can make some beer!

Seriously, I'm not that original. I guess I would like to get an M7 or M6 and also a really nice TLR. And maybe a Leica lens for my enlarger too (if there is such a thing).

Well, the Leitz Focotar 4.5/50 has held its value pretty well! My records don't show the date I got mine, but it must have been 1966 or 67, and the price was $66 brand new. (Compare to $164.50 for a new 35 Summicron). That's the only 50mm enlarging lens I've ever had. I was later tempted by the "fast" f/2.8 enlarging lenses such as the Nikon, but resisted. :) I did use the Summicron too for printing half-frame negs, for that matter!
