besides, i am really excited about mail delivery this week (i hope) or next.

We were all really, really worried. I'm glad you're okay. I now count my run-in with food poisoning this weekend as a very minor illness.

Joe: I can relate, Joe, and send you best thoughts and wishes. I had a similar attack almost exactly 3 years ago. (The first signs, which I dismissed as heartburn, came while watching a Leafs game. They do that often to me! :bang: ) A few nights later it was too bad ot ignore.
The emotional change is very real, as you're discovering, but that will eventually even out. But it is a great opportunity to reflect, reevaluate and make choices. When I had an angioplasty to discover exactly what was going on, the doc agreed I should focus on red wine and salmon, and even approved of my choice of favourite wineries, so I said, OK, I'm on board with this! 😀
Do take it easy, do the exercises, check out Cooking Light or similar magazines, and you'll find you can eat even better than before. Hang in there!

I was poorly about 4 years ago, -couldn't walk a hundred yards. A friend was offered a "rescue" puppy Parson Jack Russell, and offered her to me. ---- That dog saved me !

G'day Joe,
I've been where you are, about three years ago. It DOES get better. The first 3 or 4 weeks I couldn't walk to my front gate after the surgery. Two or three months later I was walking my dog on the beach, which involves climbing down and then back up an 80ft. cliff, (via a track). You will need daily siestas in the afternoon. Enjoy the luxury. It does not last forever, unless you are clever.
To flip the coin, for a bit of a giggle. That money order is still wandering around the bank circuit. What a joke. :bang: I just did a job for my bank and put it on the Chief to 'fix' it for me. He agreed, but said it would take six weeks. I told him the pictures would take the same time. 😀
(Of course, this is John from Melbourne, if you haven't guessed)
Rest, exercise(eventually), and a better diet are the life savers. With research, appetising diets are very real and are enjoyable. Just different, that's all.
Get well steadily with only a touch of impatience to keep you moving forward.

i actually have one grip left as i have decided that life is good with 3 canon p's and i don't really need 4.
like my appetite for food, my (gear) eyes were bigger than my (gear) stomach.
