Jeez, just read this. It's good to hear you're okay! Stay away from the GAS and hope you have a quick recovery so you can keep us miscreants in bounds here. Cheers buddy.

Hey Joe, how's the dog ?

'sugar', the dog, is with a coworker who has 2 dogs of her own and a large yard.

my border collie is extremely friendly and social and i imagine her having a very nice holiday.
i will likely have her delivered back to me next week, maybe tuesday.

Joe, while taking it easy, you could also use a pick-me-up. Maybe this is a good time to jump to the 'dark side' and find a nice M2 ... Waiting for the mailman is therapy :D

The ultimate test of healthy food is, if it tastes good; dump it. Here is to your health! [simple cider!].

nothing new for me for awhile i think.

besides, i am really excited about mail delivery this week (i hope) or next.
g'man has been working on a special project for me, my 'stealth' camera.

there will be a grand unvieling as soon as i get a good snap of it for posting.

We were all really, really worried. I'm glad you're okay. I now count my run-in with food poisoning this weekend as a very minor illness.

Take it easy for a while. If I lived in Canada, I'd come over and cook you something. :p

Joe: I can relate, Joe, and send you best thoughts and wishes. I had a similar attack almost exactly 3 years ago. (The first signs, which I dismissed as heartburn, came while watching a Leafs game. They do that often to me! :bang: ) A few nights later it was too bad ot ignore.

The emotional change is very real, as you're discovering, but that will eventually even out. But it is a great opportunity to reflect, reevaluate and make choices. When I had an angioplasty to discover exactly what was going on, the doc agreed I should focus on red wine and salmon, and even approved of my choice of favourite wineries, so I said, OK, I'm on board with this! :D

Do take it easy, do the exercises, check out Cooking Light or similar magazines, and you'll find you can eat even better than before. Hang in there!

Joe, Glad to hear sugar is doing ok, she'll be overjoyed to see you again, and I expect you'll feel likewise.

I was poorly about 4 years ago, -couldn't walk a hundred yards. A friend was offered a "rescue" puppy Parson Jack Russell, and offered her to me. ---- That dog saved me !

Needless to say, this site just went to hell while you were gone. We need order here again and now that you are back I am sure we will get back on track. May God give you many more exposures with many cameras. Glad your back Super Duper Moderator :)

Maybe I'm taking this out of context, Steph, but under the circumstances, do you think you should be cooking for Joe? :) :) :p You have a wonderful way with words, my girl!

Just teasing. :D

Good to hear you're feeling better, Joe. :) I can't wait to see pictures of the stealth camera. ;)

G'day Joe,

I've been where you are, about three years ago. It DOES get better. The first 3 or 4 weeks I couldn't walk to my front gate after the surgery. Two or three months later I was walking my dog on the beach, which involves climbing down and then back up an 80ft. cliff, (via a track). You will need daily siestas in the afternoon. Enjoy the luxury. It does not last forever, unless you are clever.

To flip the coin, for a bit of a giggle. That money order is still wandering around the bank circuit. What a joke. :bang: I just did a job for my bank and put it on the Chief to 'fix' it for me. He agreed, but said it would take six weeks. I told him the pictures would take the same time. :D

(Of course, this is John from Melbourne, if you haven't guessed)

Rest, exercise(eventually), and a better diet are the life savers. With research, appetising diets are very real and are enjoyable. Just different, that's all.

Get well steadily with only a touch of impatience to keep you moving forward.

Cheers,

Erl (John)

thanks for the encouragement. i need it.
at times i feel great and then weak like a puppy.
lots of energy and then so tired.

i took a short 5 minute walk today, with a friend along for supervision, and when i got home i was exhausted.

i cannot believe that money order has not been cashed yet, that is too monty python for words.
i actually have one grip left as i have decided that life is good with 3 canon p's and i don't really need 4.
like my appetite for food, my (gear) eyes were bigger than my (gear) stomach.

my goodness, joe I am glad to hear that you're alright. take it easy, you'll be in my thoughts.

I guess I must have missed your birthday (being away for a few days) so I appologise and wish you a happy belated birthday. Take care buddy,

Jeez, you got so upset because I've been out of town, that you went and had a heart attack? I love you too, buddy, but that's a bit over-dramatic, isn't it? ;)

Take care, and get well soon. If you're going to be home for a while, maybe it's a good time to start on that backlog of b&w film that needs processing? :D

Take it easy, Joe! Take care of yourself and stay healthy. Good luck with your recovery. I want to see you around here for much longer!
