I'm looking for a QL17 GIII in black - where?

Thank you all for information that helped me decide to send Randy a small fortune (rather than the large fortune requested elsewhere) for a decent looking camera that Randy says Greyhoundman has recently CLA'd... a major point in favor of this camera. Randy has been patient with my many questions and sent pics.

It's a camera to be used, not displayed for its flawless beauty, so, I'll keep looking for a less "expreienced" looking camera for my friend and will keep this one for me!

Thanks again, all!

Jim

Good suggestion, but it won't work. I have both the GT and GTN (and the GSN) and these are not impressing my friend. The Canonet is a nice daylight shooter - no muss no fuss with nice info in the viewfinder. Strong selling points to many. I love my Yashicas, but they serve different purposes, I think. I need both! Great lenses unsurpassed by anything less than the interchangeable lens rangefinders, IMHO.

congrats. Enjoy it! There are other, less expensive alternatives out there for your friend. Try a Yashica GSN maybe

randy is a known member here and we have done business before, i would trust his gear.
but in truth, to pay over 200 bucks for a $40 camera is not something i would do.

That's the cost of being different. I personally love the look of the black ones. That's why I own a GTN and GT and I am waiting on a Professional (yashicas) I would love a Black GIII and a Black 7sII also. When the pocket book recovers.

picky friend.....hehe
Yeah, but I never mentioned I'd be looking to make the camera a gift. I just wanted to know what would be THE camera to have. Canonet, hands down. (shrug)
