When I was dropping off my film today, another gentleman was dropping off a dozen 120 films, and showed off his Hasselblad and Fuji RF to the counter person.

I had my M4 with 21/3.4 SA.

I suspect that there are a lot of film users we do not know about in Canada.
Film users in the closet, loading film reels in the dark.
 
OK, so there are at least two confirmed film users in Ottawa that we now know of.

I'm one of those "Film users in the closet, loading film reels in the dark." in Halifax.

Since getting my first Leica (M4-P) this year, I've had a number of people come up to me and ask about the camera, and talk about about "...how great film is..." and "...glad to see some still shooting it...etc,etc.". I've been an exclusive B&W film shooter, for personal stuff, since the late 80's.

Not many places in Halifax you can get film proocessed. Atlantic Photo Supply is the best/only bet downtown. The guy running the lab there is, ummm, diffecult. I worked in that lab for 3 month, but couldn't live up to his expectations and had to leave for my own sanity, but damn, he really knows his stuff!
 
Im in PEI and shooting my share of film!
But i have a friend in Ottawa with an M4-2 so thats another one for ottawa!

Are you guys using Ginn Photo Labs?
 
Another Ottawa film user here... TLR's, RF's, toy cameras... the works. I haven't used Ginn for developing before as I do mostly black and white in my bathroom... any color 35mm I just take to walmart and scan myself.
 
hi. :)

I called in to Black's one day, they were taking waaay too long with my E6 (again...), so I thought they might have forgotten to call me... again. The voice in the telephone told me that the developing machine somewhere broke down, and that the company had to order a part. The voice said that someone else had called in earlier and that's how she knew. Wow! Someone else? E6? Here? I was pleasantly surprised.

I was downtown for Canada day, and I saw someone with what looked like a titanium M6, or something. One of y'all?


If you see someone with an M2 and outrageously messy hair, it's probably me.

ps. there is (was?) an M4-P on Kijiji ottawa. $950 with summicron 50...
 
I'm the guy with the leather camera bag, M2 in a Luigi case and an R3a... usually walking around the market and Elgin St... I think we're past due for another Ottawa RFF meet up :)
