I'm searching for a 28mm Camera

Sirius,
Thanks! It was the AF600 that had the 28mm lens. It was a sharp lens in a plastic body.

quote: "There were a few "first" in a Nikon with this AF600 QD P&S compact. It was the Nikon first compact that offered a 28mm wideangle lense (fixed, 28mm f/3.5 Nikon lens). Next, at the time of its introduction, this model was also the lightest and the most compact sized AF/AE compact camera of the world (weighs approx. 155g measures at 106mm x 62mm x 32mm only). Together, a built-in cropped in Panoramic image format was offered (13mm x 36mm). Came with either a selection of standard or an optional QD version. "

Well.. after getting kinda nervous in the end I just bought a black Bessa L + Sidegrip and I'll buy a Color-Skopar 35/2,5 when I've figured out how one has to pay at camerarequest (no set forms as usual? what the hell...). Besides the 28mm thing, I also had the Jupiter-12 in mind, but it won't fit on the Bessa, coz it's rear is too long and will hit the shutter.

I really hope I'll be happy with this.

Good luck, Christian. A 35mm lens is not really "wide", and it is considered by most people here to be a good choice.

I definitely made some "compromises" just because I couldn't find a (for me) affordable 28mm lens (except of the russian 28/6). The shutter noise should be okay as it isn't as loud as a Mirror Slap of a SLR. In addition I had enough of researching... Maybe some of you knows this.

Yes, I took reading the FAQ for granted, but there isn't much information. I had suspected some sort of a set form which I have to fill our or something like that.

But anyway - I wrote him a mail, he confirmed my "theory on the transaction" and just now I've send him the money. Although it's kinda unusual for a shop to pay this way I guess...
