There are no Copake_ham postings there, and he's disappeared from the members list, too. Is this one of those alien abductions one hears so much about?
Hi Jon,Jon Goodman said:For what it may (or may not) be worth, I didn't leave. I still stick my head in and comment as I see fit. I didn't agree with the changes, but that doesn't mean I have nothing to do with RFF any longer, and it certainly doesn't mean I don't have lots of friends here. Nothing like that. The RFF is very worthwhile, and I hope it continues. I am still as interested and committed to the repair, maintenance and use of film cameras as I ever was, the light seal project is still very robust, there are still other projects in the wings, but there are also challenges of time and money...as there are for most of us.
The changes do mean my contributions will be different. I know my sense of humor and outlook is unique. The old RFF seemed at times a good venue, a good platform for that oddness. Not that I'm drawing any parallels, but Andrew Dice Clay as the key note speaker for the Papal Conclave just isn't necessarily a fit. Pee Wee Herman? Maybe. He might be able to pull it off. Sorry...couldn't resist that one.

Well, this site is largely responsible for my purchasing a R3A from cameraquest this past May. I delayed for about a year not knowing if it was foolish to buy a film camera now or not, but this site, along with a few friends that have actually switched back to film from digital, convinced me to give the R3A a shot, so to speak.boarini2003 said:Although I'm not fully aware of the "problems," I think RFF is among the best photography sites for all the reasons you described so well. It definitely is inspiring.

Again, let me emphasize this strongly. I did not make that post under Fiorello. I suggest that you delete your post in which you accuse me of making that post before this goes any further.

that quote is a warning and that warning still stands.

you are the one who brought this into the public domain.
without your doing so, no one here would have been the wiser.
maybe you wanted it known?
