Image use question

I shot a job for a university one time and the head photographer took credit for all of my photos. It was a pretty big deal too and I was pretty proud of the work I did, Long time in the past so who cares anymore.

At least the Department of Agriculture gave me credit for the work I did for them.

Just removed all my images from my SumgMug site and cancelled my account... Too many recent image misappropriations reported on RFF lately. Now on to deleting my images from my FB Fan page, even though I hate disappointing all 4 of my fans ;-)

Maybe a knee jerk reaction, but if I'm not going to get rich off my images, why should someone else... :D

Something of a problem could come up here. If we all deleted all of our images what would be left of RFF?.

A conundrum for sure... I have yet to post any images on RFF, but if/when I do, at least they will, for the most part, be viewed by other photographers who are aware of the misappropriation of digital images.

Most of the value I personally have gained in my short time on this forum has come from the great discussions and the posted images have been secondary.
 
In my opinion, if it was in Creative Commons, they shouldn't pay you for your image because you gave it to the world. If they broke your customized license, then you could ask a lawyer to help you, but I don't think they owe you money... only public excuses.

It was in CC with the proviso that it not be used for commercial purposes. A for profit magazine is clearly a commercial enterprise. I am all for commons, and not just in creative endeavors, but I am not going to underwrite a national magazine.
