I've been using the 16mm for a lot of editorial work, it's been amazing in smaller spaces where I can't take a few steps back to work within a 35mm focal length (my preferred).

It shows nice sharpness and minimal distortion wide open, allowing me to get tight shots that "pop" at close distance:

I'm looking at this lens for street shooting, but also considering the 14 and 18mm fuji lenses. But the 18 does not appear to have a focus distance scale, which I am used to having for zone focus, important for quick 'from the hip' shooting. I know the 16 is as fast (aperture) as there is and as shown here produces great out of focus backgrounds. How would you rate the 16 vs 14 for street shooting? Any opinions greatly appreciated!

the 14 is a great lens but too wide for everyday street shooting…the 16 is, surprisingly, a fantastic fov for the street as long as you are comfortable shooting a bit closer to people than with say a 23 or 35.

Just received this lens yesterday....a 24mm FOV is kind of new ground for me.
It balances perfectly on the X-T1.....I don't find it large at all.
