More images from a recent road-trip from Chicago to see some architecture are posted on my website. Part of the journey was the camera discipline of one camera one lens- X-E2 w 27, though I did have the 18/55 along just in case, and the camera phone just for quick snaps. It did get noticed a couple times when confused with, "thats like a camera my dad used to have."

Many nice images on this thread from a very versatile lens. And Tom, nice composition here, and I enjoyed reading your blog!

Close in and in a tight space, the 27mm felt more comfortable for me than the 35 f 1.4 I had mounted when I arrived to meet friends at this tavern.

27 on xe2

took the 27 on the xe2 to a rally in Ventura.
the smoke from the Woolsey fire was just beginning to be visible on the horizon and by morning had blown northward.
more images as light gave way to dark, at the rally to Protect Mueller are included on my Flickr page.

i rarely put any other lens on this camera these days.
thanks for looking.

slight brown tone added to shadows in LR

btw, I prepared this at 600 on one side...both actually since it's square ... and 72 res
any larger and I got the "excedes max file size" msg.
Same with everything I tried to upload today and yesterday...not had this problem before using my usual 750 or 800 on the long side
???

^ Great images, Huss, sharp as can be, very impressive.

I blew off buying the Fujinon XF 27mm f2.8 pancake lens because I thought it looked like a toy. I didn't give it any consideration at all, nadda, zip, period, nothing! However, after seeing these great images I think I need to give this lens a go.

All the best,
Mike

this thread is still going strong...a testament to a fine lens!

I rarely take if off my XP3!

Heads up to those thinking of attaching a lens hood. Don't.
It screws onto the filter threads, but the filter threads are attached to the portion of the lens (optical block) that moves in and out when the camera focuses.
So if you by mistake knock the lens hood, it can ruin the lens' focus mechanism.

Even the stock lens hood? I was about to get one for a good price but the seller was too eager to sell it and sold it to someone even though I told him I'm getting it. Really irked about it.

From the archives.
Started thinking about the XE5 and pairing it with the 27. I had the first version of the 27 missed the aperture ring, then moved on from Fuji.
