images: legacy lenses on the Fuji X-Pro and X-E cameras

Not sure if this qualifies as a 'legacy' lens. It turns out a few of us have bought the Holga HL-N 60/8.0 for use on Fuji via a Nikon adapter. I finally got a chance to try it out.

This is not only a slow lens (fixed F8), it is also dim. I was shooting at ISO 1600 on a sunny day. Attached are OOC jpg's with Velvia simulation.

Lots of fun in a random sort of way...

So here is the 12-24f4 on the speedbooster. This shot was taken at between 12 and 15 setting. I would guess slightly over 13mm. Pano crop..

Gary, 12-24? What lens is that? Nice images above. I have to say that the modern lenses like the Nikkor 50/1.4 are producing images that seem almost too sharp... dazzling! Are you still liking using the Speed Booster? Does it feel a lot heavier than typical adapters? I'm still waiting for delivery of mine. 😱

As u figured out the 12-24f4 afs dx from Nikon. It is slightly heavier then the Fuji m mount due to the built in optics as well as solid build. Yes.. I still like it Jamie.

Good luck w/ yours. Hope it works out for u.

I got my Kipon adapter today and dusted off one of the 60's era Nikon 55mmf3.5 lenses. I haven't used it in nearly 30 years so this was a real treat.
The adapter worked great. The weak link was my shooting flow of focus, aperture setting, composing and then pushing the go button.

Anybody out there using a Voigtlander 21/1.8 Ultron or a 35/1.2 v2 Nokton on a Fuji body? I can't find many shots on flickr with this combo and I'm considering if I should get the XF lenses or stick to my M lenses (including picking a 12mm Heliar instead of the 14/2.8)...

The 12mm Heliar is great (the ltm type, since it is smaller than the M-type) - and you don't need autofocus with that super wideangle. However the 1.2 Nokton is too big IMHO. I have both and for 35mm I use only summicrons.....

Thanks, Ron!
I think the 1.2 would balance better on an Xpro1 body, due to its size, I also have the 35/1.7 Ultron (which does work with the fuji adapter). I've used the 12mm a lot on an R-D1, and I just loved that combo.

TKH, which adapter did you order? the Nokton 1.2 wont work with the Fuji adapter (i tried my v2 and it didn't fit, I'll get a Rayqual com Cameraquest)
