Hi,
I have an Imarect finder & am wondering how the turret finder compares, is it any better for the longer fl lenses, ie is the image zoomed in rather than being a small square in the middle of a tunnel?
I find that the 35mm is difficult to see to the edges with too, I have a Russian 35mm finder which is far nicer to use!
Cheers,
Colin

I don't own an imarect to make direct comparison but I've seen comments saying the turret finder is easier to use. I do have the turret finder so I can comment on that. It has a fixed frame which has cross-hairs and includes an area outside the image, that can be quite useful. The view zooms but the frame-size stays the same. The only downsides are that it's not as small as a fixed-length or bright-line finder and spectacle-wearers don't find it friendly. It does have some limited parallax correction too. I find it bright, easy to use and fairly accurate, worth the bulk. Just personal opinion, of course.

Thanks for that, I was hoping it would be good news.
I will add it to the wish list (or not have to delete it, anyhow ;^) )
I had lazer treatment on my eyes a couple of months ago now & it's great not having to wear specs anymore
I can appreciate my FSU's, Leica's & Retina's so much more now!

I have had both, and find the turret finder much superior: I still have a turret, but no Imarect. But then, I prefer the Tewe to the Imarect too.
