Import tax? to the US?

I have seen a good deal with a UK camera dealer.
It involved a body with a couple of lenses totaling about $1700

Do I have to count on any import taxes when this item is shipped to the US?

US Duty , when collected, is generally lower than most countries, I seem to recall it might be 5%, and they often do not bother with small items.

Just declare it and see what comes. You should get a deal on the other end, no VAT, etc. from the origin country, which I believe will be much more than anything the US charges.
