i have a black zi and a silver zi.
i have one black luigi half case.
i have decided to carry one zi on a long strap and one zi with a wrist starp and the black half case.
which body gets the long strap and which body gets the half case with wrist strap??
consider your input carefully as this is crucial stuff here...
i'll check back later...

in case it matters, the long strap is a domke gripper, black and with the quick release.
thanks once again...

That is way to big a decision for me to offer an opinion on, but you need one of these.
Zeiss Ikon Side Grip
The Zeiss Ikon Side Grip makes right-hand gripping and holding the Zeiss Ikon rangefinder or SW camera easier and safer. It also offers a standard ¼” tripod bushing exactly under the optical axis. The Zeiss Ikon Side Grip is made of a special durable synthetic material with a low weight of only 38 grams (1.4 oz.).
The Zeiss Ikon Side Grip will be available from October 2006.

You're kidding me.. how about just getting another Luigi case/strap for the other/new body and then your question is moot

I don't get the wrist strap thing. I need both hands to take pictures. If I have a camera on a wrist...I don't get it.
What Dave said. In (EDIT: that dark dark red black cherry color Luigi doesn't have it) black so you don't have to decide which body gets which case. Tres chic!

nice avatar dave, looks menacingly cool.
i'm broke, no new case or strap for me.
i have 2 m grips and they work well on the zi, but the zeiss ones look cool too.

wayne, i use 2 hands to shoot even with the wrist strap. the strap is more about carrying the camera than how you shoot.

ok, so i'm leaning towards the black body and the black long domke strap and the silver body in the black half case with the luigi black wrist strap.
it's tense over here as i debate with myself, and i'm not a master debater.

uh, how about trying various combos, and seeing what works best for you? I don't think that anyone can help you with this decision.

it's the delicate balance of man and machine needing to be 'at one' with each other.
i was out shooting this morning and started to feel the chill of winter approaching as my hands were damn cold as i was shooting.
it is time for 'winter mode'.
the case needs to be used to help keep old woman winter at bay and i thought maybe the long strap so the camera could hang inside my coat till needed and thus my hands would be in contact with metal much less.
a method to the madness.
anyway, i went with the domke strap on the black body and the case ond luigi strap on the silver body.
i'd post a pic but my digi-snapper is on it's way to wisconsin and i'm waiting for my wisconsin digi-snapper to get here.

Thanks for the avatar compliment Joe
This is my "Alternate Universe Dave" - kind of like the "Evil Mr Spock" from the "Mirror Mirror" episode of classic Trek.
I would put the case, if it were black, on the black body. Use the strap for the silver/black body

Just carry one camera, and your problem is solved.

Sure, I knew that. How do you manage the camera on the wrist strap when you pick up the other camera to shoot? Hey!

normally, if i use 2 cameras or just need a free hand, the camera goes into the small bag at my side.
i'm not a fan of 2 or more cameras dangling about.
i put the long strap on the black camera and already hate it.
might just use 2 wrist straps (my normal) and use one camera at time in the cold of winter.

Of course, that would depend on what clothes you are wearing, Joe.

clothes are always optional but in winter i tend to overdress.
for my street photography i dress like a ninja. at 5'10 and 250 pounds i am rarely noticed...

Perhaps you should get a third ZI?
